Roller Coaster Reflection
My group worked very well together we overcame obstacles constantly without hesitation. The peers in my group were Leah Maxwell and Hailey Sena. My group worked very well together, I feel like are group was meant to be. We were the only group who finished their rollercoaster without using rails throughout the whole rollercoaster. Our group really knew how to collaborate, we always knew where each of us were. An area I grew in as a group member is being more patient with my group members.
In humanities I learned about the different conflicts throughout history and how they were resolved. I learned that not all revolutions were violent, some were actually friendly like the Velvet revolutions. In this revolution there was no casualties just a couple injuries. Also some were fighting for essential human rights. An example of this is the Nat Turner Slave Rebellion. I used humanities thinking when I was doing the create your own adventure.
In Physics we learned about the different things involved for the motion of a roller coaster. We need Kinetic Energy, Mechanical Energy, Potential, and Velocity. All these factors are what you need to find the physics to a roller coaster. Also all the weights play a role to completing the energy audit. For physics you also need all the measurements to be exact or else the whole problem would be incorrect.
In engineering I had so much fun. Because of the freedom to finish your work without being told to not do something you have to do. I also learned how to solder. Even though I struggled to make the track we accomplished it. I also learned that prototypes is what makes your project succeed because you can base your real product from the prototype. I also learned all the different to that can be used to build stuff.
The exhibition was kind’ve boring because not many people were interested in the rollercoaster. I only got like three people come to my booth. I think my group appreciated my contribution to the project, because I helped solder and making the supports. I also helped with other things. I would grade myself a A+ because I contributed in every aspect to my group. I feel like I am strong in physics, because I learned all of the formulas.
