My group was Dylan Lewis, Viviana Duran, and me Adrian Canseco. My group started working very well at the beginning of the project, we finished almost everything that was given to us at the beginning as a group. But as the project progressed the participation from one group member started decreasing. Many things went well in terms of collaboration, we each added our own artist view to each of the assigned parts of the project. For example we put in ideas for the light box and the puzzle piece. Some areas I can grow on as a group member are Persistence and Patience. I need to grow in persistence because when I see that we only have a few days until the deadline I panic and think of giving up. I need to grow in Patience as a group member because when some group members are falling behind on project work I start getting frustrated with them.
In my Humanities class I learned about anthropology, how to conduct a proper interview with different age groups and about the types of love in Romeo and Juliet. In anthropology I learned about the different definition of beauty throughout history. An example of this is the definition of beauty in the beginning of time, this definition was of an obese lady. If you compare to modern day beauty it is the complete opposite. Now beauty is somebody that is physically fit. I used humanity's thinking by coming up with question related to each of our interviews. Also by creating my Romeo and Juliet essay.
In Physics class we learned about circuit and the different types of circuits. The two types of circuits are Parallel and Series circuits. Each have a different way of working. Parallel circuits are used for houses because of one circuit burns of the rest will stay powered. Series circuit are used for things like Christmas lights. If one of these goes off the rest do to. We also learned how to power a light bulb and the physics to it, examples of physics are amps, volts and watts. In this project I used physics thinking to finish assignment handed out to complete a circuit to build the circuit.
In engineering we learned about all the materials needed to make the different circuits. We also learned about the different bulbs and how much voltage they need to power up. In engineering we also made two of our exhibit pieces, these we the lantern for the senior citizens and the adult puzzle piece. We had to create the templates so they could fit on the panel for the lantern and for the puzzle piece we cut out the sketch with different tools. My group used a chop saw and a scroll saw. Both of which I am familiar with.
I feel like I offers a lot to my group members, because in all of the assignments I helped to complete. I would grade myself a solid A because I did a lot of the things by myself. Example of this are the circuit and the lanterns. I feel like I am strong in content knowledge because I know how to do a lot of the things we completed. I feel like I need to grow in communication because a lot of the times I had great ideas that I didn't share aloud. How can we relate a topic like the to the real world?
